The Express
In the movie The Express, Ernie Davis (Rob Brown) had to overcome the task of being the first African American to play college football at Syracuse University. With the help of a long time friend, Coach Ben Schwartzwalder (Dennis Quaid), Ernie breaks the racism barrier and becomes one of the best players in college football history.
Ernie became one of the best players by breaking records made by previous white players, like Jim Brown who attended Syracuse back in the 1930’s. He became so good that he won one of the most prestige trophies in all of sports, the Heisman Trophy, and went on to become one of the best professional football players in the National Football League.
In my opinion, I would say that this is one of the best movies ever made. This movie shows how, with a lot of hard work, anything is possible and you can do anything that you set your mind to. This movie is one that the whole family can enjoy because it is rated PG. I am glad to say that this movie deserves four out of four stars.
