You wake up in the middle of the forest with a slim man standing over you, taunting, as
you get up. He disappears into the shadows, leaving you alone to fend for yourself in this odd
new world. This is the start to an amazing game called Don’t Starve.
Don’t Starve is a top down open world adventure game where the objective is to collect
items and escape or survive as long as you can. Don’t Starve has a very unique art style that
gives it a drawn or sketched look with all of the models being in 2D which makes the game look
beautiful in a dark sense. In order to survive you will need to quickly gather resources, build
tools, and scavenge for food before nightfall, which is deadly without the protection of a
campfire or basic light. In this game if you die you're dead and will have to start from the
beginning, which can be tedious at times so you’ll have to be very cautious in the beginning. The
game world is procedurally-generated meaning each time you play there will be a completely
different world which gives the game lots of replayability value and an almost endless feeling.
While searching this endless world you may think to yourself. “ who am I and why am I here?”
The backstory of Don’t starve is that you play as Wilson (among other characters) who
was a failing ?young scientist who was tricked by a demon talking through his radio named
Maxwell (the slim shadowy man from the beginning). Maxwell gave him “secret knowledge” of
how to make an amazing  machine which would help his career as a scientist, but when he
flipped the final switch it had summoned Maxwell into the mortal world. Maxwell then pulled
him down into the shadows and into this strange land he wakes up in. The main story in the game
is finding and collecting the parts that make up the machine to get to the next level/world. If you
