The Race
The race was on 3... 2... 1... GO! John was racing Jimmy. So far John was ahead. There were three checkpoints and they were First, Second, and Third Streets. The finish line was Fourth Street. Jimmy wasn't about to let up so he put the metal to the pedal and sped past the first checkpoint passing up John. John had prepared for this moment and wasn't about to let him win. John activated all the adrenaline he had left in him and passed Jimmy. Jimmy trailed him as he passed checkpoint number three. But surprise right before John got a chance to cross over the line Jimmy sped past and won the race. As John slowly walked over to hand his bike in, Jimmy turned and said, " Keep the bike rookie! I'm good with mine." John couldn't believe it. John had lost but in reality he hadn't. He had just then made his enemy his best friend.
