Timid is described as a lack of self-confidence or courage. All my life I have struggled with being timid and it has caused me to miss out on many opportunities. For example, I did not apply to become an ambassador for my school in fear of not getting in. Although there is no guarantee that I would have gotten in if I applied, at least I would have done my best to be accepted. By working hard, I am constantly fighting to stop being timid.

For my virtue, I chose talented. I started to play the violin at five years old and since then it has been a major part of my life. The best example of my talent is when I was chosen to represent Haiti on a music tour in Spain. Playing the violin has helped to improve my lack of confidence by forcing me to perform in front of a multitude of people. My virtue, talented, has helped me greatly to overcome my vice.
