Sleepless nights
The women could not sleep. She rolled over in the bed but found no peace. Lately, she had been spending her nights just staring into the darkness. As if something was bothering her, but even she did not know what either. Unlike all the other people who tried to fall back asleep or just, take sleeping pills, she enjoyed her insomnia. These were hours when she could calm her muddled thoughts and be alone with herself.
Her days were really hard and tiring. Her whole life for the last few months had revolved around her job. There was no one to welcome her at home, to say that loves her, kiss her on the cheek, or give her a massage after draining hours of doing all sorts of reading, writing, texting, and callings. This was just an empty house of an empty person with no warmth and no love. It was a place not home, where she can sleep for the night and nothing more. ’’ Loneliness, we all experience it in different stages of our lives. ’’ said he with a firm voice.
’’ We find different ways to deal with it. If you are a more introverted type like me, people probably think you don’t have any problem and it is okay, because you have always been a lone wolf, but it’s the exact opposite. When you are overwhelmed by its true nature, you start to feel like nothing. You scream you cry you can’t even breathe but there comes the moment when you feel nothing. You are not sad, not happy just an empty glass of water. At such times, I ask myself ’’ Is there anyone I can really trust? Am I worthless? Does someone even care? ’’. That’s why we should learn to talk about this without being judged. In the end, we are all just humans.
The woman listened to every mighty word of the host, who simply spoke on various topics. His ringing laugher made her feel a warmth that blossomed in her like a flower.
A sip of truth in a sea of imitations and lies. She finally found what she was looking for …

This story is for anyone who has ever felt lonely. A message to everyone that this pain is normal and that we must learn to embrace this feeling. I deliberately did not name my characters because I believe it is easier for the reader to put themselves in their shoes. With this story I want to save our exhausted souls at least for a moment from our everyday life. Please just feel it!
