My mom has gone through a lot in the past few years, but nothing has stopped herfrom doing what she wanted to do. She sets a goal and doesn't stop until shereaches it, and I admire that about her.

My mom was diagnosed withmultiple sclerosis three years ago. At that time, she was going to college to bea chef, raising a family, and working. She had a lot to deal with, but wasdetermined not to give up anything.

My mom convinced me to perseverebecause she was determined not to give up. Multiple sclerosis is a very harddisease, and there are many bad things that go along with it. You have to dealwith not always being able to see all the time, or being able to walk, or useyour hands. I used to give up on my goals, but since my mom doesn't, I'velearned not to also.

I love my mom a lot and I would do anything for her.Without her, I wouldn't continue toward my goal, which is to become aveterinarian. Overall, I think my mom is a great example of a hero. I'm glad tohave her in my life to help me through everything just like how I help herthrough anything.
