Locked Away
I extended my hand.
You backed away.
I searched your eyes for an answer.
I was met with not only fear,
But arrogance.
As time passed you accepted my offer.
We worked together smoothly.
Then snap.
You reverted.
Distrust
Arrogance
Pain
And fear all reentered your eye.
On that day I knew we were done.
That day the team gave up,
Went their separate ways,
And made new names for themselves,
With no mention of the bond both had shared.
