Free Falling
When we played our favorite game
We used care to not get hurt
And watched out for each other
Instead of playing a normal game
Where your eyes are open
We played a game with eyes closed
When there were only two of us
It wasn’t as easy to watch each other
There was a small crack in the netting
On our tramp, just big enough for
A very small
Tiny
Person.
It all happened so fast,
Went by in a flash,
And there I was on the ground
Five feet from
Where the tramp stood
Calling out in pain
Screaming,
Screaming,
Screaming
For someone to come and help
Crying out in pain
Trying to figure out what was wrong
Safe inside,
Lying down,
Safe and sound.
