Letter
Welcome home! I am honored to write a hero who fought with valor for America. I would like to thank you for your service. I greatly appreciate your sacrifice and dedication in protecting our beloved country. At my high school, I attended an honor flight event where we got to watch the Honor Flight Movie alongside with veterans. After the movie, I was inspired to write to a veteran and welcome them home from a very emotional day!
I am currently a senior in highschool, and it is hard to contemplate the amount of bravery you have to leave your home to fight for America. Your dedication to fight day after day to defend our country is what I consider a hero. Your resilience is a trait I admire dearly. Your heroic deeds to serve America allowed teens like me to pursue our dreams and opportunities we might have not had in different countries. My life would have different if not men and women like you have fought to keep our rights. Therefore, I would like to show my appreciation with a welcome home letter in mail call.
During the movie, they explained the events that took place during and the return from the Vietnam War. I learned about the terrifying events that you went through and the courage you have brought going into these events. It was heartbreaking to hear about the initial welcome you received upon your arrival in the U.S. Your valor, devotion, and patriotism should be welcomed with gratitude and appreciation. I would like to say again Welcome home and thank you for service. In my future I hope to acquire valor and bravery like you have to make an impact in our world. I would love to hear about your story.
