My hero would have to be my friend, Mary. The reason she is my hero is because she doesn’t really have the best life at home, but she doesn’t let that bother her. She laughs and plays around just like everyone else. Mary always has a good attitude.

First, she is really good in school. She has good citizenship and she makes good grades. I chose Mary to be my hero because I think that the lifestyle I have at home is bad sometimes, but then I think about how Mary lives and I realize that there is always someone out there that has it worse than I do. By acting like she does, she reminds me that just because some things do go wrong at home or at school, it doesn’t give me the right to act up. So, when Mary and I talk about our lives I think that it is time for me to be good and take responsibility for my actions, and grow up!

Finally, that is why I chose Mary as my hero. She is someone who is smart, funny and good to other people, and that is what it takes to be someone I look up to.
