Autumn
Leaves change when her delicate feet glaze over our land. Her breath created the winds, both soft and strong. She smells of warm sugar donuts and cider, the smell that overpowers your mind. Trees sway as geese fly by, preparing for what is to ensue. Squirrels busy themselves by collecting nuts and berries, too busy to notice her walking through the wind blown land.
Finally, ripe leaves flutter to the ground until all trees are uncovered and bare. All except the mighty Pine, who resists the temptation of losing its needles. The sky turns darker more quickly as she shows off her power to the people of the land. The temperature drops as she cools down the warmth of the Summer, announcing that Autumn is here.
