Little known words
Whenever my parents/relatives want to talk to me or when I talk to them, I mostly try to respond by using my main language but it seems like I only remember a few phrases which makes it awkward. The words in my mind have traveled away, so my dad taught me the simple ones (colors and sundries) and I repeat it just to make sure it’s in my head but he still accepts English and understand what I’m saying to him or my mom like bread with spinach dip. I sometimes ask how to say it and try to say it in different vowels so I make sure I said it correctly as if a car is making the right noise but right now I feel like I should watch some dubbed movies and get right back to what I’m saying.
