A Boy Among Girls
A Boy Among Girls
Girls. Girls. Girls. My parents are always proud of their three precious girls. Then people start looking at the boy. One singular boy who has to learn how to grow up with three girls constantly dressing him up in their play clothes and making him play with them. One time it was being a gymnast, another it was a princess. Always getting told what to do by the oldest as if she was our mother. She was like a dictator when it came to playing, she always got things her way and if we didn't agree she made us agree.
As we got older the less play we did but the more we grew apart in interests. They all wanted to do dance and gymnastics, while I was into baseball, basketball, and football. So I traded in the pretty pink princess dress for some playful balls. The play soon stopped and we got into high school where now we all get along and can hang out doing other things, like go to lunch or shopping with them. But the best thing about growing up with sisters is they taught me how to treat people and be a good person because I learned my lesson by talking to them. They have taught me so much about how to deal with things that I am still experiencing today.
They are great people to talk to because they have been through so much of what I am about to and they know me, they know who I am not and can keep me in check to help present ideas that will feed me.
