Falling Off
Around eight to nine years ago, my dad took me, my sister, and my stepmom on a hike. I don't recall the location but we encountered a rattlesnake halfway up the mountain. We turned back due to the snake and the fading daylight (around 5 pm). I slipped on a sandy, rocky section of the trail, tumbling about 15 feet. I scraped my chin, elbows, and knees, and my wrist hurt badly, though luckily it wasn't broken. My dad promised ice cream to cheer me up, which it did, but I remained in pain from the intense fall.
