Oh Siblings, Siblings

Sharing, caring, splitting, hating, forgiving, helping, loving. All things that are necessary when having siblings around. Some may think its a burden to have sisters, others see it as a gift. Personally I love having best friends that literally have no choice but to put up with you, because you guys are stuck living in the same house for several years. But of course because we are sisters we fight, bicker, argue and everything else regular siblings do. Parents everywhere tend to say the same thing “love your sisters/ brothers unconditionally, because they will be the only ones who are always there” or at least something like that. But children never truly understand the meaning of these words until their sisters, in my case, leave. Eventually you will have to say bye to your only friend that you can literally say you've had forever.

Being the youngest in my family, I was always getting picked on by my older sisters. And like most younger siblings I wished for them to disappear into thin air, gladly that didn't happen. But they did disappear, only to college. One ten hours away and the other three. I hadn't realized how attached I truly was to them until they left. First one then the other and next thing I knew I was the only kid left at home with my parents. Being at home without either of my sisters was harder than I thought. No one to talk to. No one to pick fights with. It was then that I realized how much I loved and appreciated them. Like you never know what you have until its gone.
