My Eyes

Everyone has brown eyes- Dad, Mom and Zach. Everyone except me. Zach’s dark as the night sky, while Mom’s are brown with a hint of green. Dad’s, well Dad’s are just plain brown. Boring.

Mine on the other hand are as blue as the sea. They are different than the rest. Adoptions jokes are never ending. My eyes don’t follow any rules, they do what they want. But one thing is always the same, they are always blue. It’s the first thing people notice when they meet me. Always accentuated by mascara. They are like the robin eyes laying the nest. No snapchat filters needed. They are the blend of the 15 shades blues in crayola crayon boxes. Very vibrant. They are as active as Dory. They are the blueberries in my head. They see the world a little lower than the rest of my family. Not the best they could be but a little bit of glass can help that. My eyes different than the rest but I’m still a part of the family.
