With the ball glued to my feet

With field open in front of me
Players to the left
Players to the right
Many options here
But no one seems to be really clear

People coming against me
Dribbling through on after another
Getting closer and closer to the goal

Struggling with the last player
I’m getting through
Eyes to eyes with the goalkeeper
I’m preparing a shot

I feel feet hitting the back of my legs
Flying forwards
Hitting the ground
Hearing no sound from the whistle
The ball is lost to the opponents
