Do you believe in love in high school? Could it possibly exist?

No way, kids don't know what true love is... But, how many people do you know that dated in high school that are currently married and happy? I personally know about 4 couples very very well that are now happy after being high school sweethearts. Did they just like each other as teens and grow to love each other? When did the "like" change to "love?" In college? Age 21? 22?23? Or could they possibly have loved each other all along?

How can you put an age on love?

I, personally, believe in teenage love. I truly think it exists. Adults that did not fall in love till they were, in fact, adults, will most likely dismiss it. However, some - like my mother, for instance - do not dismiss teenage love. Do you?

this is so true. every adult always says " o well your only 15, your too young to know what love is" but we feel every other emotion, why cant we feel love too?

True teen love does exist in the world. Your teen years are probably the years where you first feel love, right?

Sometimes I think teens exaggerate and say"I'll love her/him forever!"when they don't even know what true love is...

i think some people dont believe in teenage love because some teenagers don't actually find their "true love" at that age. I totally believe in it, you can;t put an age limit on love. i

I believe that teenage love is speical and some of it last and others don't. But each one is speical and needs to treasured... No one forgets their first love. High School love is speical, adults dimiss mostly anything important to teenagers. Teenage love is something, that should never be taken for granted. Because it may only last a short time, but the memory of it lasts forever.

I believe in a one true love. I think everyone has a, I know it sounds corny but, soul mate. Everyone has a person they're meant to be with. You might find that person at 15, 45, or 80 but if its the person you're meant to be with, thats who you should be with. But with that said, no matter what age, people sometimes say they have found the one when really the REAL "one" is still out the waiting... So yes I believe in "teen love" but sometimes it's not THE love. (Idk if this even made sense lol but hopefully you can get the jist;))

"Maybe we should develop a Crayola bomb as our next secret weapon. A happiness weapon. A beauty bomb. And every time a crisis developed, we would launch one. It would explode high in the air - explode softly - and send thousands, millions, of little parachutes into the air. Floating down to earth - boxes of Crayolas. And we wouldn't go cheap, either - not little boxes of eight. Boxes of sixty-four, with the sharpener built right in. With silver and gold and copper, magenta and peach and lime, amber and umber and all the rest. And people would smile and get a little funny look on their faces and cover the world with imagination."
~Robert Fulghum

I believe that love can be found in high school, or whatever age. However, I think it's more common for the younger generations to mistake "love" for infatuation, and base their entire future off of the high they get from having a significant other. It just depends on the people. I know this is kind of irrelevant, but I reallllly think like, the whole Twilight thing has given teenagers this false impression of "true love". Just throwing that out there xD

I myself have never been in love and I'm of course a teenager (because this is TEENink, lol). I know a few couples that were high school sweethearts but I think the real jist of the matter is this: I think we're all meant to be with someone, now whether we find them in high school or otherwise is merely the luck of the draw. Those who find their person in high school are extremely lucky and blessed. Everyone else we'll just find someone later on. I believe in high school love, why not? It happens.

I'm the type of person that thinks you can find love at any age. And when people say you don't know what love is because your to young. I think that they don't know what that is theirselves. But I know it's possible because i'm in love with the person i'm with, and i believe that if we can make it throgh all we've been through together, then we can be together forever. Because real true love does not ever die

I really dont too much believe in it because all the relationships i've seen in high school never work out. it seems like it's nothing but heart ache and pain or a baby.

You've never felt pain, until you've felt love.

I know that love in highschool exists. Love at any age exists. Noone can put an age on emotions and feelings. Ive only loved twice. Two boys. One of them gave up, one of them i am with today. He is the most beautiful person on the inside and out. I LOVE him for who he is and who he makes me. I could argue for days on how love does exist. It comes in odd ways, it comes in beautiful ways, and it comes in painful ways. Love exists everywhere and hits everyone.

I completely agree with what you say. Well except for love can suck, Im in love right now and i honestly think it is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me:] But age is just a number, and it doesnt matter how old or young the people are or what grades they are in, Love is Love. And age shouldnt matter.

Okay, i used to be in the same position that you are in. My parents both said they do not want me dating till i was 16. I hated that rule, and i didnt really follow it. I did go out with a few guys without telling my parents. But i actually found someone i liked a lot! I told my parents about him, and i actually had my mom meet him. There was a basketball game at my school and had him come to it so we could hang out, and so my mom could meet him and find out how good of a guy he is. After she met him she actually did like him and agreed to me going to his house. Which seemed like a miricale:] So when you start going out with a guy, and you really like him and want to see him out of school. Just set something up so your mother or father could meet him. Haha, and cross your fingers that your guy makes his first impression real good:] and maybe your parents will you two hang out at your house or his house... soo, yeahh. Good Luck! Oh and im going to highschool next year too! yay:]

I personally think that teenage love is possible. But then again, some girls my age are scared to fall in love. I fell in love once with this guy that truly made me feel like I was different. But teen love doesn't last forever. And the pain after is sometimes too hard to bear.
