The shades only spare pinpricks of light
No emotion in the unknown fright
My curls are ratty and disfigured
My skin caked with dirt and dry
Hollow shell my brain tried to figure
Only to find the thought pass by
My torso is bloated and struck
Guess I just ran out of luck
The dog whines and the cat hisses
Trying to catch the bird and misses
No sun sets on the horizon
No moon lightens the loom
In the dark questions:how many souls die in
The abyss of the dark room
