Purple Pallets
Her red wine smile is like the
fuzzy winter coat of a husky.
Captivating in the way I am drawn to a light lavender colored
field or the sad purple of a star filled night.
Her earth brown eyes that flash glimpses of
grasshopper green causes me to be smitten.
Enamored is emerald and yet she is
clear sky blue or a dreamy periwinkle.
And I am my eggshell white, stained with
musty yellow turned to milk and cotton white.
The uncanny yellow of my world, accompanied
with plaid vision turns to the color of saturday night maroon.
