Sunset
Never mind the ink blot
 On my mouth
When the words I try to speak
 Only break my heart open
Only negate my dreams some more

 I believed in beauty once
 I believed in the sunrise
I believed in dolphins, and magic
 And in you
 We believed in the sunrise.

 Now there's only
 The blood under your fingernails
 There's only the ink
 Staining everything I wished
 Everything I hoped for

Do you remember the heart you gave me?
The one full of crazy schemes and daydreams?
 Well, I'm sorry
But it's broken into pieces now
Since I slammed it against my dreams.
