How foolish was I to believe
That you were a man I could trust
After all the blows I received
I should have just given up
Why is it that when I love
It results in me being abused
Each one thinks I’m their possession
Something to be toyed with and used
I’ve been left fearful, with no love
Oh, someone please help me to start!
The much needed respiration
Of my bitter, broken heart
