Tea Party of 1903
I look from afar, a little girl in the sun
With ten tea cups, but she was a party of one
She sips her tea
At the tea party of 1903
The girl was dressed in a dress of rich and fancy
Through the summer hat and black leggings, she wasn’t near snotty
I observed as she drank her tea
At the tea party of 1903
I fluttered to her and landed on a book
It read Alice in Wonderland when I looked
The girl than saw me
I was invited to the tea party of 1903
In the distance, I heard the sea, the birds, and trees that were far
Then along came a rumble of a motorcar
I listened to the sweet ballad that was sweet
At the tea party of 1903
I sat there with a stuff rabbit and teddy bear, who weren’t feeling down
They were up like the buttercups, daisies, and poppies all around
They sat next to me
At the tea party of 1903
The girl finally gave me a tea cup
As I smelt the fumes that ere sweet and rising to the heavens up
I tasted the tea
At the tea party of 1903
Though I needed to thank the girl, but I was just a small butterfly
I thought of my repayment as I looked into the sky
The girl was so nice to me
At the tea party of 1903
I thought and flew to get my friends
I told them to fly around her because it was soon the end
This was the ending
Of the tea party of 1903
I remember…
I looked from afar at a little girl in the sun
With ten tea cups, but she was a party of one
The first party of the spring
The tea party of 1903
