Twenty four mouths slowly chanting,
As though it were a mastered art,
Taste the lies in your voices,
When the deadness of your prayers restarts.
Your morning's memorized wishes,
Leaves your faith spoiled and tart,
'Cause you sing from the elusive wants of your mind,
And not from the depths of your heart.

I wrote this poem years ago when I got fed up with my school's religious programs
