Ninja
Her fur was silk
Black against the sun
Her bark was cheerful
She was MY dog,
the only one for me.
We played
We napped
We walked
We did everything
together
Until one sad day,
God and the angels
wanted to take her away
and welcome her into their home.
Heaven.
She is in a better place now,
though it made me quite sad
I know she's always with me,
Mom, and Dad.
Peacefully resting
in the field behind the house.
With a wooden cross
marking her grave
she sleeps
Calmly and forever.
My dog, Ninja.
