The Prize
I’m a blue ribbon on the wall
One side to me, you’ve seen them all.
Just a medal for you to earn.
What it does to me is no concern.
Affection- a game you like to compete.
I said I’m a game you’ll never beat.
But it seems so simple just to say,
“If he wants your body, push him away.”
No one told me I’d want yours too
So I went to the stairwell with you.
Couldn't resist your sexy charm
My favorite place around your arm.
In the back of my head, I always knew
People don’t change, not boys like you.
Sweet words convinced me otherwise,
But I’m just a trophy to some guys.
If you get past second base,
Then you can achieve first place.
I’m glad I never let you win.
You’ve found someone else to let you in.
