To My Piano
I sit down to play and tickle the keys.
The melodious tune soon starts to live.
It won’t die for it is a part of me
and I receive far more than I give.
I play the garden and play the sun,
coax out the flowers and will them to bloom.
The spring I call and the winter I shun
For spring is life and winter is doom.
The piece I play will always be my own,
as the spring has rain and the winter has snow.
I have my song and will never be alone-
it will comfort me through highs and through lows.
My piano will call me and I will rejoice,
for there I can express and show my true voice.
This will certify that the above work is completely original.
