I Will Wear Black
Your sizzling flames can’t lick my heart
For it belongs to the roaring sea.
Dust me with your char and ashes
But the spray of the ocean will wash ‘em away.
Your scorching words spew forth to me
Only to be swallowed by the rising tide.
You sprinkle fire and spite across the beach
Yet the ocean’s waves dissolve it again.
Don’t try to be the world’s conformist,
'Cause I’m not malleable and I will wear black.
