See it but never feel it.
Get close, only to push it away.
“Don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone”
Epitome of my life.
What is wrong with me?
What makes me so un-lovable?
Can someone remove this defective sign from my forehead,
And replace it with a kiss.
I want more than mediocre.
I want someone to miss.
Do I ask for too much?
Are my requirements unachievable?
My heart remains unconquered, unattained.
I’m tired of fairy tale endings,
Silly thoughts put in my head by unrealistic, but hopelessly believable movies.
They are all the same.
Girl meets boy. Girl messes it up. Boy forgives girl.
Happily Ever After.
At least they let on that relationships have problems.
I want raw, unrelenting love.
The real deal.
No movie, novel, or episode of “Sex and the City” could ever touch.
Left alone, drowning in thoughts,
Who else in the world could need love,
Like I need love?

Soon after I read(and reread) your poem, I had the feeling that I instantly had to tell everyone about it! Which I did XD by posting a link on facebook - I hope you don't mind.

It's rather breath-taking how I can easily relate to this poem so very much which is one of the reasons why I loved it.

Good poem. i love it and that was the epitome to my life for a long time. but love came around sooner rhen later. it hit me wen i least expected it and who i least expected it from. dont sit around and wait for the storm to pass you gotta learn how to dance in the rain. (:

Do you really need a boyfriend to complete you happy life. What you really need is a good friend someone to really listen to you and tell you that everthing is going to be alright. If you ever need a true friend look for someone who really cares about you. To have a good life does not mean you need to have a boyfriend to complete it. You got people who really care about you the most not someone boyfriend who can care less. Well I hope you really find happyness in your life and not with a guy at all. Oh by the way I really loved your poem to it was very good and heart warmthng to the soul. :)
