Favorite Quote:
Math is meth

Brilliant fireworks of many colorful factions
Gleaming gold and spangled silver
The magical work of chemicals reactions
Bursting inside me

Birds soar gleefully through the open sky
Weaving in and out of clouds
Brave and bold, never shy
Carving  paths of desire in my very being

Soft spring with the cool breeze
Bringing with it roses, red as blood
Or blue as a vivacious flood
And with the roses, thorns made from the tortured sounds of pleas

Sometimes there is lightning
Thunder, hail, and pounding rain
Everywhere the tempest travels, it goes around wrecking all it can
This is my anger, my savagery, when dreams go to vain

Occasionally there is pink
Not like a dainty flower
Rather like the feeling when you sink
When I sink into a pinkish puddle of shame

Mostly though, there is a closet inside me
Hiding secrets even from myself
The closet inside me is a sea
Always full of mystery

The author's comments:

I was thinking about myself, and how best to describe myself. This poem is a result of that pondering. I hope this poem will inspire people to see themselves as what they are in a positive and strong way- as someone who is amazing, and still yet capable of even more.
