Infinity
An infinity runs forever
Only if it is whole.
Half of an infinity
Is simply a dark hole.
The shape of the tear
That ran down my face
That only your love
Could ever erase.
Maybe I’m dreaming,
Maybe I’m dead.
Or maybe I’m obsessed
With these thoughts in my head.
I am left thinking aimlessly
Of my mystery lover
Who never loves me,
And loves another.
Dear apathetic,
This lovestruck fool
Is trying to forget about you.
Dear apathetic,
This lovestruck fool
Has failed to forget about you.
If only you could touch
The rhythm of my heart,
We would be together
Yet we’re hopelessly apart.
My dreams are simply dreams
They kill my self-esteem,
Rip apart these halves of me
And pick apart the seams.
But I will be whole
Once my soul
Is paired with your infinity
And our two tears make a whole.
