All it Takes

All it takes is a smile,
A benevolent twist.
All it takes is a while
To soon get the gist.
A second of the day
To offer up a grin.
A happy thing to say
And stir a mind within.
A simple verse to heed,
And lives would be stirred up.
A man that was in need
Given an overflowing cup.
So open up the floodgates,
Stir up the hearts of stone.
Show off your many good traits,
And bad ones too be shown.
For it will all be mended
By he who made it all.
Every man offended
Forgiven big and small.
So why now be unhappy,
Why now hide so low?
Why now keep things crappy,
Why keep life so low?
Cause all it takes is a smile
All it takes is a word.
A life all filled in with bile
Turned into a blazing sword.
