The author's comments:

I'm a junior at in high school. The Jester became my gateway into poetry after being inspired by Jacob Streilein's "There's a Man in the Woods." I loved this piece because I could play with the words and truly make them relate to the Jester—experimenting with his dark character while crafting a story that surrounds the Jester's rise and fall.
