See Them Again
My grandpa Corky is in heaven,
He left us when my sister was seven,
It was sad to see him go,
When I heard the tears started to flow.
I have never had closure,
Its hard to deal with my composure,
I never got to say goodbye,
And to this day I still cry.
I would like to see him so much,
But it hurts to think about such,
Why is heaven so far away?
I wanna drop everything and go for the day.
I would find my puppy who was killed,
I remember when my neighbor shot him and his blood spilled,
He was the cutest dog I had ever seen,
The way he was so care free made my smile beam.
I'd visit my grandma who passed away,
She died on my grandpa's birthday,
She was a smoker and she would obsess,
Eventually her lungs turned into a black mess.
I'd visit my aunt Jenny who I barely knew,
But as I got to know her my happiness grew,
She was one of those people who was liked by everyone,
They were the planets and she was their sun.
I'd go see my grandma who I watched die,
Whenever I saw her I couldn't help but cry,
I remember how I was afraid to hold her hand,
She was fragile and hurting her is something I couldn't stand.
But now she is gone and I miss her,
The last time I saw her was all a blur,
Her passing away cut me deep,
But I'm glad she died in her sleep.
Even though these visits only exist in my dreams,
Whenever I see them my smile beams,
I can't wait until I see them again,
But I'm going to live my life to the fullest until then.
