The Journey
So lost for the longest of times
Not sure where I was going
What I was looking for couldn't be found
Didn't know where I stood in this world
Didn't know what I could be
when there was nothing else around
I'm still searching for meaning,
trying to find my way
Not sure where I'm going
but I'll figure it out someday
I was hoping to find myself
by retracing my steps
Hoping the past could be relived
But when I turned around,
and began to look back,
all I could see was a blanket of mist
I'm still searching for meaning,
trying to find my way
Not sure where I'm going
but I'll figure it out someday
The past is a book that has become closed,
so the place to go is forward
into the depths of the unknown
I'm scared, but determined to find myself
I started this journey in solitude,
but I won't end this alone
I'm still searching for meaning,
trying to find my way
Not sure where I'm going
but I'll figure it out someday
