The Ballad of Bionic Boy
Observation Log- Day 13,891- Final Transmission
After all of these days hiding, I still don’t understand.
I wore my skin so neatly, and hid my wires well.
Playing follow the leader, watching, didn’t go as planned.
There were more lessons to learn, more disguises to sell.
I was taught the same ways to calculate, infer, deduce
There was no equation too advanced to find.
Yet the principle of life, of love, to feel, all too abstruse.
I can’t dream since desires feed in human minds.
The other children mocked me and my errors at fitting in
Which introduced me to their new concept of “hate”
Fist-shaped dents don’t disappear, for I am made of tin.
A second chance to cope is gone; I’m just far too late.
For they all grew up, a change I can only observe-
Since the wires that bind me tear under stress.
But is eternal youth something I truly deserve?
When is my turn to age, to die? Forms I can’t express
I was locked up years ago, decreed a failure by my master
Left alone in this damp cage, I now collect the dust
He built new boys to learn human behavior faster.
But I always wanted death, and like this cage, I start to rust
Attention: Critical external damage is detected
For us Bionic Boys, I learned that death is slow but sure
So I wrote these entries to anyone who cares to hear
Life and love, I leave for humans, for I found a robot’s cure
We all pass away with time, d-d-eath is n-n-n-othing t-t-o fea——
End Transmission. Brain_Circuit.exe unable to progress
