Here and There
One day, I wished upon a star
High above, in the darkened sky
To see one gone so far
I wish instead it had been I
To gaze upon her graceful form
And weep in sorrow and despair
I stand here frothing in vengeful storm
For she stole the pain I was to bear
Now I remember our moonlight kiss
Talking through the summer night
How we lay there in careless bliss
Features illuminated in the light
We believed we could spread our arms and fly
Through the clouds and morning haze
Up high above in the great blue sky
In excitement and thrilling daze
And now, I know, she is lost for good
I’ll go on, never the same
I’ll remember where she and I once stood
And I am the only one to blame
Soon, I will join her, and that I wish for most
My love, my dear, I’m coming for you
Of the ones I’ll leave behind, here’s a toast
I can fell myself being drawn away now, I think that’s my que
Goodbye all, future and past
Sing yourself a happy song
I saved my favorite one for last
So to those I love, so long
