Comedian
Cattelan clearly understands the comical world we live in;
How quickly,
One seemingly neutral image can be turned into the object for which a war is fought over;
a war we never realize is pointless.
How easily we all take sides
and how the media encourages us to.
That we fight over the stupidest things while a child starves or
a man is killed.
While every person
Argued passionately about this banana at their dinner table.
While we all took sides,
while we all felt a growling in our stomachs knowing that a five year old
could have made it,
the world around us was burning and the flames would only
grow more rotten;
Not quite just a banana duct taped to a wall;
Our short-sighted reactions are too a part of this piece,
we are the part of the piece unseen.
After all,
every comedian needs a good joke:
