Finally baseball is here,
It’s the best time of the year.
Opening day is the best,
No more time to take a rest.
The count remains 2-and-2,
The batter knows what to do.
The pitcher throws his baseball,
I smack it over the wall.
Rounding third, I start to smile,
The ball went a country mile.
At home plate, my teammates shout,
Blake Morin has hit one out.
I’m the best that’s understood,
I creamed it, I creamed it good.
The season’s finally done,
And boy was that season fun.
The leaves are tumbling down,
Snow covers them on the ground.
Soon spring comes, that I do know,
I oil my glove, here I go.
