Metropolis Sea
It was rather cloudy that night
I was in a valley of light
The water isn’t salty as the sea
Nor are there any water lily
The moon isn’t full and it doesn’t smile
And the sky was clothed with darkness
The water’s cold but its colder up there
I feel a chill every time I’m on air
My skin is wrinkled but I’m not old
My hair is tangled, thinned and snarled
My eyes are weary and my sight is blurry
I was palpitating, I think I forgot breathing
And so I reach out for the light
Paddled my feet till I break sight
The bubbles were lovely
It was full of serenity
And so I break in to gasp for air
The noise and everything was still there
For a few moments I treaded
I wandered in this Metropolis sea
