Today will be just like Tomorrow
Tell me your stories,
And I’ll tell you mine.
And so we will pass,
A few hours time
Enjoying the quaint,
And even sublime.
A ‘lass the hour glass holds
All the time that we need,
Until it is time
My darling,
For both of us to leave.
Here in the midnight sun,
We glare at one another
As the days end has begun.
You sulk a gray tear
That falls off that cheek
That one tear that I remember
Was fairly less than bleak,
So we say are goodbyes
No sorrow in both eyes
For we know that today
Is just yesterdays tomorrow,
As the cabaret men say.
