My Flute

My hand slowly moves for its case,

it calls to me, begging me, just a little farther, your almost there.

As I unlatch the case, a melodic cry sings through the air, slowly I put it together, carefull to make sure I'm gentle and smooth.

As I slowly bring it to my mouth, I take a huge breath in and blow, ever so gracefully, yet smooth.

The air comes out connected, its body is so cheerful, the notes never stop.

Piece by piece it drifts through the air, and down my lips. the soft sound dying off slowly.

Once again it cries, for now I must carefully take it apart piece by piece, and take it to its home, until I take her out again,
tomorrow.
