Once I hear that gun,
I start to run,
Wind is running through my face,
I start to set my pace,
Just looking ahead,
Wishing I was in bed,
There’s no doubt,
That I won’t finish it out,
I’m almost done,
This is a tough run,
I cross the finish line,
Feeling fine,
I did my best,
Now it’s time to rest.

I enjoy running, this poem is mostly for track and cross country runners, and any other type of runer
