A New Kind of Storm
Colors freezing time, a whirlwind of fear
 A rush of new emotions
 They flood the space between,
The cover up this strange abyss.

 This rushing hurricane destroys
 Even as it fixes
 Everything it touches—
The snowy essentials dissolve to rain

 Onlookers witness chaos
But I see only light, pulling me clear
 Into the unforgiving place
That welcomes me with open arms
