My Addictions
I feel your touch between my fingertips
I feel your voice calling me in with every word that I hear you become my addiction
 My antidote and drug
 With you I’ll die
Without you, could I ever survive?

You give me comfort when I’m feeling down, and a second opinion to rely on when I’m in a slump

 Could you survive without me?

Without my hands intertwined in yours
 You’re my antidote and drug
My addiction that I cannot break

 Seducing me with your charm
Drawling me in with your looks
 You’re not human
 You couldn’t possibly be
 You can’t be real!

 I wished I wasn’t dependent on you
 Perhaps needy and clingy?

You drag me in because you are my drug, my addiction, and I cannot quit!

One last phone call I tell myself
 One last kiss
 One last visit
You’re my addiction and I cannot quit. My addiction and I cannot break!
