Favorite Quote:
"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot loose." ~ Jim Elliot

My fingers touch the black and white keys
Delicately;
There, they touch my heart.

I begin.

The notes flow,
Dancing,
Resting.
Singing, humming, shouting, whispering.

Peace.

Peace in the music.
(trickling up and down the keys)
Peace in the feelings.
(leaping down in thirds and fifths)
Peace in the freedom.
(crescendo, decrescendo)

I could stay here forever,
Playing whatever my heart desires,
Just me and my upright piano.

Because...
The music coming out of the piano
Is the music of my heart.

I adore improvising songs on the piano. It's how I express myself, and how I worship God.

I really like this poem. I hope you don't mind if I use it as part of a piano recital program. Thanks!

P.S. Jesus rocks! Way to be bold about your faith!
