As I lay here
Basking in the siesta sun
A large warm hand
Cups my back
Comforting, calming
All my fears
My worries, my burdens
Release their piercing grasp
I drift slowly from consciousness
My busy mind settles
A baby in her mama's arms
Nothing can get me
I'm untouchable
Dreams of summer frolics
Memories of autumn's past
Fruit juice running down my neck
A slight breeze
The perfect afternoon
