Melancholy birthdays for one,
and tea for one as well.
A solitary position of defeat,
a walk across the trembling
grounds of solitude.
The empty pathways of
my mind are slowly closing in.
The candles singe my flowing dress,
and the wick is dark with ash.
The smoke winds into the air
and disappears.
Only the sound of my
sharp inhales is heard,
and nothing is in sight.
My walk continues on
and years go by.
I am still sitting here,
drinking tea for one,
and neuroses for two.

That is very good! Your poetry is very lyrical and has a good rhyme and rhythm to it.
