Filled With Deceit
Why do you speak so faintly?
Why is your voice so low?
What is it hidden in the darkness?
A mourned mischief lost and gone?
But if he be more fair than black
And she be black and witty,
Then how do we come upon
A terror blacker than the devil?
It is not as if we do not know
What the word tragedy means.
But who was to say it would end this way -
A corrupted spell or enchantment?
A wicked lie might fall into such vile success
But lead into the light and one might find
Less of such wickedness
To make one an obscure prologue
Destruction on my head, ?And again upon my soul
But life is full of corruption
And darkness must strike, no.
She is abused, misused
No one can understand what to do
Silence those that speak so foul
What is there left to do?
A tragedy ends just where it begins
Who can save us now?
The unknown fate is as of late
Not going to end anytime soon
