A Strongly Worded Letter To Cupid
The ratio of love to hate,
Is not the most polite.
The contrast between the two,
Like that of day and night.
We whisper our endearments; We shout our criticisms.
Can’t you see that Love is losing, and Anger’s winning.
The numbering masses of kind hearted gentleman,
Like a starving creature thinning.
We hang on to little shreds of manners and chivalry,
Giving way to large amounts, of dread and cruelty.
What more can we do? What more can we say?
Should we just sit back and watch,
The life of love decay?
I say this with clenched fists, I say this with furrowed brow,
This is one atrocity,
We dare not allow!
